Dear Friends at Allen’s Neck Monthly Meeting,

What an exciting and wonderful few weeks I have had at Allen’s Neck! From meals with Friends to small group workshops, prayerful beach walks and life with Peter in the parsonage, I have felt welcomed by the community, and blessed by the invitation to participate in the life of Allen’s Neck MM. It has been wonderful for me to get to know members of the meeting, participate in the life of the community, and to share my journey with yours. My husband and I are enchanted by the spectacular beaches and sand dunes, and the patchwork landscape of trees and fields, stitched together with stone walls. Most of all, I have treasured the time I have spent in conversation with Friends and worshiping with the community. Allen’s Neck has offered me a wonderful opportunity for me to grow in my calling to ministry, and I pray that I have also been able to contribute to the faith life of the meeting. My husband and I would love to be able to host any members who may be traveling to Nova Scotia or Prince Edward Island - please do not hesitate to contact us!

Allen’s Neck Meeting Hosts the Annual Meeting
of
The Inter-Church Council of Greater New Bedford

Thursday, June 16th, Inter-Church Council held their 66th Annual Meeting at Allen’s Neck. Members of the Meeting assisted in making this gathering a success. A nice variety of appetizers was donated for the Registration and Refreshments on the lawn; parking in our small parking area was expertly handled by two members; a table crew was in charge of setting up and taking down tables for dinner, and music (which was much appreciated) was supplied by our organist for the meeting in the sanctuary. Many who participated expressed their thanks and gratitude for our hospitality.
